Welcome to Bill Curran Guitar/Long Island Lessons.  My name is Bill Curran and I specialize in private guitar and bass lessons in your home or mine.  I have been playing guitar and bass for 39 years and have played and taught professionally for 34 years.  Playing guitar and/or bass should be a fun, rewarding and enjoyable learning experience for any student.  Whether you are a true beginner or a more advanced student looking to expand your knowledge and command of the instrument, I can help you achieve your goals.  I enjoy teaching all age groups: children, teens and adults.

Have fun while you advance your skills for school jazz band, NYSSMA, your own band or simply for your personal enjoyment.  I have performed and taught many different genres of music, including pop/rock, jazz, blues, country and classical, and can tailor your lesson to suit your musical tastes and interests.  I teach students on acoustic and electric guitar utilizing both pick style as well as fingerstyle(classical) techinques. 

Lessons in your home can help todays busy parents and working people save valuable travel time and enables students the comfort of learning in their own home environment.  While students located nearby may find the more economical rates of lessons in my home more appealing.  In either case, I live in Southeast Nassau County, NY and have a flexible schedule to accomodate my students.
